He was recipient of the Heart Rhythm Society Clinical Research Award in Honor of Hein Wellens and Mark Josephson and has published numerous original research manuscripts in leading peer-reviewed cardiology journals. He also specializes in pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, lead management, syncope, sudden cardiac arrest and stroke prevention. His work emphasizes the use of cutting edge imaging techniques, including intracardiac ultrasound, which improves patient safety and reduces radiation exposure. He has expertise in complex catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, atypical atrial arrhythmias, premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) and ventricular tachycardia (VT). Betensky provides comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of heart rhythm disorders. He is ABIM Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine, fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and advanced subspecialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Betensky obtained his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine.
